The sole aim of this campaign is to ensure no road humps in Ickleford. Safer alternatives to “traffic calming” exist which are • Better for the environment (in terms of pollution and noise) • Calm traffic more efficiently • Do not cause pain or discomfort to motorists or passengers (especially on buses) • Do not punish safe, sensible drivers who are the majority of road users. Ickleford accidents and speed analysis show the hump locations are much safer than other roads in Ickleford. We want safe roads and would support effective alternatives.
