- No cyclists injured in last 10 years due to road traffic accidents, apart from 3 accidents causing slight injuries, 2 on Bedford Road (4 August 2007 & 26 August 2000) and one on Arlesey Road outside Duncots Close (6 October 2004)

- In 2009 there was just 1 accident injuring 1 person (a motorcyclist coming into the village on the Arlesey Road going round the left hand bend by the stables was slightly injured)

- In 2007 there were 3 accidents injuring 5 people (1 serious injury, and 4 were slightly injured). The serious accident was an 81 year old not wearing a seatbelt crashed into a parked car and van on Greenfield Avenue

- On a rainy Monday 17 November 2008 at 13:04pm at a wet Bedford Road/Turnpike Lane roundabout a heavy weight goods vehicle driven by a 61 year old travelling on the Bedford Road towards Hitchin skidded and hit a car on it's nearside being driven by a 28 year old woman on the Bedford Road coming out of Hitchin and turning right into Turnpike Lane who was slightly injured.
- On a rainy and windy Saturday 1 March 2008 at 1:50am on a wet Arlesey Road coming out of the village after Cadwell Bridge near Metro Manilla house, a car driven by a 18 year old skidded because of mud on the road and went into the back of a taxi travelling in the same direction driven by a 63 year old. A rear seat passenger in the taxi was slightly injured.
- On a fine windy Friday 29 February 2008 at 6:04pm on a dry Arlesey Road coming out of the village after Cadwell Bridge just before Brookers yard, a car driven by a 39 year old male wearing a seat belt collided with some other object in the road and had slight injuries. No other vehicles or injuries.
- On a fine, dark but lit Tuesday 19 February 2008 at 5:45pm on a wet Turnpike Lane outside number 28 during roadworks a car driven by a 44 year old female coming out of the village skidded and collided into the back of a waiting car travelling in the same direction, and also the fronts of two other vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. 3 drivers and a front seat passenger had slight injuries.
- On a fine Saturday 4 August 2007 at 11:35am on a dry Bedford Road travelling into Hitchin 100 metres SE of the roundabout the nearside of a car driven by a 37 year old impact with the offside of a bicycle ridden by a 45 year old male travelling in the same direction. The cyclist was slightly injured.
- On a fine but dark Wednesday 10 January 2007 at 6:17pm on a dry Arlesey Road outside number 129 the offside of a car driven by a 60 year old female into the village impacted with the offside of a car driven by a 20 year old male travelling out of the village. Both drivers and a 46 male front seat passenger has slight injuries.
