Do you have what it takes to be an Ickleford Parish Councillor?
If you are interested then as a starting point we suggest you have a look at Standing for Local Government - it can be a bit daunting (but of course it is a serious matter) but isn't as bad as it looks just various documents to read through. The application for the Parish Council is much simpler than the other Councils. You just need one proposer, a seconder, and someone to witness your signature. The application form is very simple - just 2 sides of A4 and we can get a copy to you if you want.
Nominations must be received by NHDC no later than Noon on Monday 4 April - if you need any help with this then let us know at elections@mostsimply.com - we are keen to have a Council that listens to the whole village and acts on the views of the village in a balanced and proportionate way. If that sounds like you then we would be happy to support and promote your campaign.

There is no budget put aside specifically for maintaining road humps. The ones on Bedford Road, Letchworth, only 1.4 miles from Ickleford were falling apart last year before the Ickleford ones were installed. They were only 4 years old then and this is what they look like now. Notice unprotected bolts sticking up and a section of rubber replaced with tarmac.
